Lake Cunningham is a no-wake lake, 5mph. Lake Cunningham Development Trust has been working diligently with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the City of Omaha and Nebraska Game and Parks to develop a plan to allow public boat access while also reducing the risk of spreading the invasive Zebra Mussels species. Visit our Boating page to learn more about our efforts to “Keep the C Clean!”
There is no swimming allowed at Lake Cunningham.
Catch and release will be heavily promoted at Lake Cunningham in the first few years to allow for the growth of fish and the proper development of fisheries. Nebraska Game and Parks has stocked Lake Cunningham with over 230,000 various species of fish. Among these fish include largemouth bass, catfish, bluegill, black crappie and saugeye. If you’d like to obtain a fishing license, please visit outdoornebraska.gov.
