Mowing Technician
Lake Cunningham is looking for another member to add to our grounds crew. We are looking for a motivated, hard-working individual who is going to take pride in maintaining Lake C at a high level. The Mowing Technician position would spend most of their time during the week mowing the park. |
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- Knowledge of safety requirements associated with the operation of mowers and ground maintenance equipment
- Skills in the operation of mowers and associated attachments
- Successful in passing a background check
- Operates riding mowers
- In charge of mowing the grounds at Lake C
- Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
- Services and makes routine repairs to assigned equipment
- Enjoys working outdoors, is friendly to parkgoers and takes pride in their work
- Willingness to work consistently May-October and spend the majority of their time mowing grass in the park
- Experience preferred in grounds maintenance but is not required
- Self-starter and reliable
Camp Cunningham Counselor
The Lake Cunningham Camp Counselor is someone who enjoys working outside and planning and executing camp activities for kids’ programming! This job will include many responsibilities, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful nature experience for youth! Our Camp Counselors are the backbone of our programs and therefore, we pride ourselves in giving them an incredible amount of support. |
- Must be 16 years or older and have a valid driver’s license
- Must be CPR certified OR willing to be certified
- Previous day camp or working with youth experience is preferred
- Work with groups in the community to provide a fun, safe, and exciting Lake Cunningham nature experience
- Work with and supervise kids in a supportive manner
- Assign and plan daily activities for groups to partake in
- Establish emergency rules and safety procedures with campers
- Ability to cook over a bonfire and assist kids with their meals
- Ability to work with children to grow character, experiences, and insights
- Knowledge and experience with camp programs or youth development
- Enthusiastic, responsible, caring, dependable, level-headed, and calm in all situations
Camp host
The Campground Host position is for an individual, over the age of 19, who is willing to be an ambassador of Lake Cunningham Campground. The host position operates from a complimentary hosted pad site from May until the end of October when the campground closes. As a Campground Host, you have the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors at Lake Cunningham while also helping others have a positive camping experience. At Lake Cunningham, we pride ourselves in reinforcing a friendly, helpful, and safe environment and we are looking for a host who will join the Cunningham culture and be an impactful, positive, and friendly person for the camping community.
- Must be 19 years or older
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license
- Experience with camping and operating a recreational vehicle
- A personal RV to stay in
- Weekend availability
- Greet campers, answer questions, and make sure they are enjoying their experience
- Assist in operations of the campground which will include checking campers in and out
- Stay up to date with the daily campground schedule and work hand in hand with internal staff
- Help maintain campground areas by picking up litter, cleaning campsites, replenish bathroom supplies and assist in keeping the bathhouse clean
- Enforce campground related rules and contact park staff and other law enforcement personnel about emergencies
- Partake in other projects and assignments based on the park needs and the hosts’ skills and interests
- Enjoys working outdoors, is friendly to campers, and takes pride in their work
- Willingness to have a flexible schedule and be available on weekends
- Prioritizes park and camper safety
- Listens to campers and answers any questions or concerns that may arise
