ADVENTURE AWAITS YOU
Lake Cunningham is a 390-acre lake surrounded by a 1,050-acre park located in north central Omaha, Nebraska. The lake was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control and recreation and opened to the public in 1977. Recreational activities include camping, no-wake boating, fishing, hiking, bicycling, disc golfing, sail boating, and kayaking. North of Highway 36 also offers an archery range and nature trails where you can horseback ride.
The vision for Lake Cunningham was built around creating a positive outdoor experience through programs that fulfill the needs of the area and create lasting memories for individuals and families.
Park hours, security & entrances
Park hours are 5:00am–11:00pm. All park rules are in conjunction with the City of Omaha and can be found on our Park FAQ page. Safety is a top priority at Lake Cunningham. We will have park security patrolling the park seven days a week and there will be 24/7 video surveillance at park entrances and the marina. Gates at entrances #1, #2, #3 and #4 will be closed when the park closes at 11:00pm and will open again at 5:00am when the park opens.
